The basics
What goes into building a tennis court?
Tennis court construction on your property starts with the site: where the court sits, how water drains away from it, and how it's reached from the house. Then comes the base, the playing surface, the net posts and lines, and options like fencing and lighting.
We bring the same approach to a court that we bring to every barn: a site visit, a fixed-scope contract, selections made up front, and one project lead from start to finish. Our team has more than 30 years of experience building custom and luxury homes, and we know the land, permits and trades in this area.
On its own or with a sport barn
Some owners want a court by itself. Others pair it with a recreational barn for a lounge, a bathroom, storage or a court indoors. We'll talk through which fits your land and budget.
Who builds one?
Families who play, players who want a court without the drive, and landowners building out a sport property.
What we plan with you

Planning your court
What matters in a tennis court project
We walk through each of these at the site visit, before anything is priced or ordered.
Placement and orientation
Where the court sits on your land, how it's oriented and how much room you want around it.
Site prep and drainage
Grade and drainage decide how well the court holds up. We look at both on your site before we price it.
Surface
Surface choices differ in feel, cost and upkeep. We'll compare the options that fit your plans.
Fencing and lighting
Options that keep balls in play and let you keep playing after dark.
Pairing with a barn
Add a sport barn nearby for a lounge, a bathroom, storage or year-round indoor play.
Permits and schedule
Permits and timing are part of your contract, so you know what to expect from the start.

We visit your site, confirm what the court is for, and price a fixed scope. You sign one clear contract with your package, add-ons and schedule.
02
Selections
Our selections team walks you through colors, doors, windows, finishes and fixtures. Everything is decided before we break ground.
03
Build
One project lead, vetted trade partners and a set sequence. You get weekly updates until the final walkthrough.
FAQ
Tennis court construction questions
Do you build tennis courts outside of a barn?
Yes. We can plan a court on its own or as part of a larger sport property with a recreational barn. We'll talk through what fits your land at the site visit.
How do I know if my land works for a court?
We look at grade, drainage, access and utilities during the site visit, then recommend placement and price a fixed scope.
Can I pair the court with a sport barn?
Yes. Many owners want a lounge, a bathroom, storage or indoor play nearby. A recreational barn can add all of that.
What if I have a set budget?
Tell us your number and how you'll use the court. We'll show you which options fit that range and be upfront about what's possible.
Do I need to own land?
Not yet. We build on land you or your family own, so the court goes in once the land is in place. If you're still looking, tell us on the form and we'll point you to local land and lot resources.
