Counties and towns
Which areas does Hardy Barns serve?
We build sport barns, party barns, shops, offices and barndominium-style living quarters on private land across these counties. Towns listed are examples, not a complete list.
Tippecanoe County and Greater Lafayette
Home base. We build around West Lafayette, Lafayette, Battle Ground, Dayton and Shadeland, from acreage lots outside town to family land that has been in place for generations.
Carroll County
North and east of Lafayette, including Delphi, where we've already built. Rural properties here suit shops, storage barns and sport barns with room to spread out.
White County
Monticello, Brookston, Chalmers, Wolcott and the lake communities around Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman. A party barn or a garage for the boat and the toys fits right in up here.
Boone County
Lebanon, Zionsville and Whitestown. Boone County is growing fast, and more homeowners there want a sport barn, golf simulator or party barn on their own land.
Newton County
Northwest toward Brook and the surrounding farm country. Open land and long views make room for big clear-span barns, shops and equipment storage.
Surrounding communities
Frankfort, Rossville, Crawfordsville, Rensselaer, Remington and other towns within about 60 miles of West Lafayette. Outside that range? Tell us where you are and we'll talk it through.
Who we build for
Landowners who want more from their property.
Most Hardy Barns customers already own their land, or their family does. They want to add something they'll actually use: a party barn for family and friends, an indoor basketball court for the kids, a golf simulator and batting cage for year-round practice, or a shop for the toys. Many pay cash or bring their own financing, which keeps the process simple and the schedule moving.
- You own the land, or it's family land
- You're paying cash or already have financing lined up
- You want a party barn, sport barn or shop on your own property
- You'd like one team to handle design, selections and the build
Building in Indiana
What we check before we build on your land.
Every site is different, so the first step is always a site visit. Here's what we look at so your barn is planned right from day one:
- Access for trucks, equipment and the concrete pour
- Grade, drainage and where the barn should sit
- Power, water and septic or sewer at the site
- County permits, setbacks and any HOA or deed restrictions
- Door sizes, ceiling height and span for how you'll use it
Permit rules vary by county, and living space adds extra code requirements. We handle the paperwork with you so nothing slows the build.
